Long Weekend, Short Week and Braces....

Hey all i guess i have been getting a little lazy and not updating so since we have today off for spring break I guess I should update. Well this past weekend was Fall Camporee down at beautiful camp ransburg. It was a little cold but not BITTER COLD. Friday night i went and visted with the Korns for a little while. Then me and victoria went into town and walked around for awhile. DD wimped out on us and went to bed early because of her band contest on Sat. It was nice to see them again. I got my milk shake that i have been craving for the past 3 months. We were going to go drop in on Tom but neither one of us knew were he or Johrdan lived. I got back around 11:00 and went down to the sports shelter were check in was and talked with Mr. Bardos for a little while. Then Sat. we all got up around 7:00 and had breakfest and then walked down to the soccer feild where all the campers were camping out. Before flags Keith pulled up and caught a few kids wandering around in the COPE area and lets just say they got an ear full and he wasn't in to great of a mood. Then after flags i went over to the Riffle Range were i helped Mr. Bardos put up the tomahawk logs. Those things are a little bit heavier with just two people lifting them up. So I was down there for the first half of the day just chucking hawks around. Then Mr. Donnely came buy to see how we were doing and asked if i could go help him do some things. So we went off and drove around camp making sure everyone was ok and asking if they wanted to unload some of there gear and we would haul it to AP for them. Suprisingly they all said no and were going to truck it out the rest of the day. So once we got back over to AP I strated helping chris and A.J. and two other people from my dad's troop. For anyone who didn't know me and my dad and brothers are in two seprate troops there in 202 and i am in 131. But that is a different story. Well we got it built it looked a little shady but we didn't use any saws or anything. Have you ever gotten that feeling though when somebody tells you something and it just doesn't sound right but you do it anyway. Well that's what happened to us we got told to put the fire at the bottem of the hill in Racoon meadow, i think that is the campsite i always get them mixed up, but Stymie didn't like that idea so we moved it up to the massive fire scare outside the shelter in like record time. It looked ten times better the second time it was built. After that chaos we sat down and ate dinner. The last troop finnaly came in at about 7:30 and we had the campfire at about 8:15. It ran pretty well there were some pretty good skit's. After that i had nice conversation with Scott Jackson one of the trading post clerks hopefully going to be Assistant manager this coming summer, you guys might know him as the pop-machine guy. I swear this guy probably knows more about the pop machines in camp than the Coke guy that came just about every week trying to fix the things. Well after that Mr. Donnely, Mr. Quiligan, Mr. Blackthorn, a few others, and Me drove back to main camp to drop off trash and to finalize the scoring. I thought Samatha was going to jump the fence and give me a run for my money when we drove up to drop the trash off. For those who don't know Samantha is the Korn's dog who isn't all that friendly. After that little trip we went over to the camp office/Scoutmaster Lounge and did all of the scoreing for the weekend. That took forever we finnaly got finished about 1:30am drove back to AP and went straight to the tent. We got up and broke camp and our Venture crew who i was camping with this weekend left early since I had already told them the results. We headed out at about 9am. I got home around 11:00 and then went to my brothers soccer game. Monday went really fast and tues. seemed to go even faster. Wed. school finaly came to a close and it was time to enjoy fall break. I went to my troop meeting and the ten of us that were there just decieded to play games. We played capture the flag with glow sticks. Then for the last 10 minutes we came inside and played a game called "Green Glass Doors". If your into cope games you might now it. I learned it at Philmont at the team building camp. Then I came home and was up till mid-night because i had to reformat my hardrive and that just sucks let met tell ya. I got up this morning and headed off to the Orthodontest and had my braces put on and I hate them. This is the second time i have had to have braces. Not cool. So then i have spent the rest of the day putting everything back on my computer. Then tonight at dinner I had the biggest flash back. We went to Carabias Italin resturant and they gave us some parmesian, I think that's how you spell i am the worst speller in the world, anyway I just remembered thurs. night of staff week when we had spaghitte and my table had eaten every thing but the bowl of cheese. So we all decided to take one spoon full of it. Not one of the smartest ideas. So as soon as announcments were done the whole table jumped up and sprinted to the water fountain in the dinning hall. Well i am oft to go watch some tv. So until next time. Later

Encampment

Hey all sry it has been so long. It is hard to find time to update anymore my life is going wacky. As you can tell by the title this weekend was encampment. It went really well except for a few problems with people on staff using toliet paper to decorate each others room. But that is a totaly different story. Butter's (aka Ben Crayner) and Stephen picked me up at about 4:00. After they figured out Gray road was closed for construction. So once we got all of my junk into his tiny neon which actually wasn't all that tiny. It took about a half'n'hour to load everything and get on the road and i think i brought everything you could think of except for my sleeping bag. I wasn't to happy about that. But once we got everyone checked in it went pretty smoothly we all got a little rest time before the staff meeting. Once cracker barrel had ended I realized butters had to run to kinkos to make copies and that all my clothes and pillow were in his car. He left at 6:30 and didn't get back till 10:30 it was kind of funny though because he got lost and had no idea were 96th street was. Then me and him headed over to the cabins. I got to see someone i haven't seen in many many years. Mike stouder, a guy from my troop who kind of dropped out of it, and his g/f. A few other k-staffers as well. I finnaly crawled into the cabin about 2:30. Then I awoke to screaming people in the middle apartment of the cabin. Then i headed over to the dinning hall for breakfast. Saturday ran well Rachel showed up and helped out in the health lodge. She was the only explorer to show up i think this weekend. Then that afternoon i helped my crew finish building the campfire. Once that was done i then had to go into campfire mode and start planning the evening program. It ran well unfortantly K doesn't have a sound shed so we had to use my stereo instead of a amplifier. The fire went up really well, never under estimate the campfires me and my crew of workers can build. It unfortuantly strated to scare the MC because of its size and when it colapsed on of the typee logs rolled out and i got told i had to go either soak it with water or be sued for burning down camp k. once the campfire had ended and all had settled down i finnaly wandered back over to the cabins to chat with some people before bed. I went to bed at about 2:30 again. I got up at 8:00 because even though me and carney were sleeping on the floor of the commens room people didn't wake us up as they walked through. So once i finnaly rolled out of k with ben it was about 12:30 and we stopped at Wendy's for lunch and as we left the Noblesville motorcycle gang rolled in so we floored out of there. i got home at about 1:30 and got everything put away. Today was ok I had to have surgery on my big toe so now i am in an emense amount of pain. Then I had to go replace a car battery in one of our cars. Then I check the blog and find some discouraging things. All I have to say is that if you have something that you don't like about me tell me who you are and say to my face. That way i can try and fix the problem. People don't enjoy getting these kinds of anynomous things when you won't tell them who you are. Ok i will step down from my soapbox know. Thanks to all those who made me feel better today and made it so that my day wasn't a complete tragdy. I need to go finish some homework talk to you later.
